Candlelighter’s Of Brevard’s 17th Annual Have A Heart Valentine’s Day Extravaganza!

The Beach Proudly supports Candlelighters of Brevard’s 17th Annual Have A Heart Valentine’s Day Extravaganza! Saturday, February 9th at the Hilton Melbourne Rialto. The highlight of the event is the thrilling car giveaway and this year it’s a 2019 Hyundai Kona donated by Brevard County Hyundai Dealers.

Join Candlelighters of Brevard as they pay tribute to the final Have-A-Heart Valentine’s Extravaganza. The organization will be retiring the annual HAH Gala in order to make room for new vision, expansion and growth starting in 2020. The Candlelighters’ Board and Executive Staff look forward to sharing more information about the new event replacing Have-A-Heart that will celebrate their courageous children while providing sponsors, donors and volunteers with the best possible event experience.

Point In Time Count Needs Volunteers!

The Brevard Homeless Coalition will be conducting their annual Point In Time Count on January 28th througout the entire county. An accurate Point IN Time Count is important for federal, state, and local Agencies’ planning and decision making. The Goal of the Brevard Homeless Coalition is to end all Homelessness by 2020. They are beginning to see an increase in homelessness due to the lack of addordable housing in our community.

They are in need of volunteers to conduct survey’s on this day and coordinate donaations of socks, hygine products and other items such as bus passes to hand out to the homeless during the count. Drop off centers for donations include Volunteers of America’s offices of Palm Bay or Cocoa, Central Brevard Sharing Center and South Brevard Sharing Center.

An Evening With Jeffrey Wands and GFWC Melbourne Woman’s Club!

GFWC Melbourne Woman’s Club presents an Evening With Jeffrey Wands! Mr. Wands is an internationally acclaimed medium who has appeared on the Today Show,, Maury, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, and A&E’s “We See Dead People.” He is the author of six books and his experience with getting in touch with the great beyond goes back to age six. Jeffrey’s personal appearances sell out quickly!

Jeffrey will read members of the audiencce in a gallery setting and then take questions from the audience regarding loved ones who have passed. He broadcasts live on the internet on Sunday evenings at WALK 97.5 FM in NY. One free private reading with Jeffrey Wands will be given away and refreshments will be provided.

On January 26th from 8am to 3pm at the National Guard Amory at 308 N. Fiske Ave. Cocoa. Vet’s are invited to take advantage of all the “free services” offered including medical housing assistance and legal, free bus service provided by SCAT

The Salvation Army Food Pantry, The Sharing Center of Central Brevard, and the North Brevard Charities Sharing Center are ALL in DIRE NEED of non-perishable food donations!
