Back To School Giveaway Event by the Supply Zone For Teachers!
The Supply Zone for Teachers will host the 17th Annual “Back To School Giveaway Event” at Clearlake Education Center in Cocoa on Saturday, July 27th from 9AM to 12Noon. Approximately 2500 children enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program will receive new back packs filled with school supplies! These children will also be given books, brief dental screenings and dental supplies, eye and diabetes screenings, gift certificates for haircuts, and other benefits. Additionally, there will be free games, STEM activites, and fun safety demonstrations. Heart Screenings for Youth Athletes in Brevard County!!
West Melbourne Youth Football is hosting heart screenings for all athletes in Brevard County at Max K. Rhodes Park football fields from 9AM to 2PM on July 27th. One Giant Leap: A Tribute to Apollo!
“One small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.” Those were Neil Armstrong’s famous first words upon setting foot on the lunar surface. The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra pays tribute to the courage and innovation of NASA engineers and the Apollo mission with One Giant Leap: A Tribute to Apollo at 7:00PM on Saturday, July 27th at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episopal Academy, 5625 Holy Trinity Drive in Suntree. The Space-themed concert commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the Moon Landing will feature several musical premiere’s including the Southeast US premiere of Composer Michael Daugherty’s To The New World, a three-movement work celebrating America’s lunar milestone. Composers Austin Wintory and Kevin Wilt will be in attendance to hear their works performed.

College Students Save BIG at the Brevard Zoo & Treetop Trek!
There’s nothing quite like summer heat in Florida and the Brevard Zoo plans on heling its guests stay cool with Artic Blast Tuesdays! Every tuesday in July at 11:30 and 1:00PM the Zoo staff will place two or three 200-pound ice blocks in the paws on “play lagoon”, a shallow water play area. This activities is included in general Zoo admission.
This summer, college students are invited to make the most of their time off by saving big at Treetop Trek. Between June 1 and August 30, the nature-based attraction will offer 30% off the Canopy Walk, Challenge Reloaded, Black Diamond and Zip Only courses to all guests with a valid college student ID. This offer may not be combined with other discounts or promotions.
